COMPUTER HARDWARE TECHNICIAN
mmersive Tech is looking for a qualified Computer Hardware Technician to be responsible for onsite and remote installation, configuration, and administration of computer hardware, network management and virtual reality (VR) devices. This role will be supporting the overall company IT infrastructure and client’s inquiries for technical and operational needs. This includes hardware and software, proficiency in each is needed with ability to quickly learn our internal systems.

Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and support for internal team’s with set up, management and troubleshooting related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through an internal and client ticket / helpdesk system by following workflow procedures.
Maintain record of all tickets with up to date information on ticket progress in PM software.
Elevate complex issues/problems to appropriate resources, including third-party vendors, track progress, follow up as required to ensure timely resolution.
Configure and install new or replacement PCs, network equipment, VR headsets and related equipment.
Contact hardware vendors for warranty replacement/repair.
Maintain IT supplies inventory (PCs, headsets, trackers, toners, monitors, cables, etc.)
Learn, set up and maintain custom hardware systems within the company's product, Uncontained.
Support employees, both local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to various internal services and hardware.
Be up to date on current hardware and software technology, especially in networking and VR industries.
Requirements
Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field or equivalent work experience required.
3 years experience required.
Knowledge and experience working in Windows 10 OS.
Experience with hardware/software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience in LiveOps support and deployment (versioning, support, equipment replacement,
Experience on escalation & ticketing systems for internal or client support.
Knowledge of working with and troubleshooting networks between multiple hardware types/systems.
Nice to Haves
Experience and knowledge of providing support for VR experiences.
Experience with SteamVR/OpenVR and HTC Vive VR Products.
Experience in electronics with building arduino, soldering and working with other electronics.
Experience using Monday, Slack, Coda.io, and related technologies.

Office is located in Vancouver, B.C.
Hybrid work environment but this role is primarily on-site at the office. Must have citizenship, PR or have a valid work permit.
Salary
Part-Time or Full-Time at $20-25/hour based on experience.
