+ Administrative Assistant

Vancouver, Canada - Full-time / Part-Time - Contract

Immersive Tech is looking for an Administrative Assistant to assist us in the production of a new and exciting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day to day office needs, such as organization, sourcing of supplies and outside errands.
  • Assist the finance team with organizing expenses on a regular basis and simple updating of records.
  • Assist the production team on occasion with updating of documentation as needed.
  • Assist with business development team with tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with clients and partners on booking flights and accommodations for our team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; certificate or diploma in office administration or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google suite.
  • Proven experience as an office assistant or relevant role.

Nice to Haves

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience in a data entry role.
  • Comfortable with taking criticism when reviewing work.

Salary

  • $27,000 to $32,000 a year.

+ Graphic Designer & Illustrator

Vancouver, Canada - Full Time / Part-Time - Contract

We're looking for an experienced, well-rounded graphic designer with a keen eye for detail to join our diverse team in Gastown, Vancouver. Our ideal candidate uses critical thinking to solve complex design problems, and exhibits a thorough understanding of design principles for use in print, digital, and spatial context.

At Immersive Tech, we ensure that all of our work facilitates the best gameplay experience for our players. You'll help to set a new standard for design in our fast-growing industry. If that sounds like something you're ready for, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Responsibilities

  • Designing effective visual systems for use in multiple contexts, such as interiors, digital screens, and print layouts
  • Working with the game design team to ensure the visual design supports the gameplay objectives
  • Create graphics for social media content, promotional material, and internal documents
  • Being a valuable member of the team by contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings, brainstorms, critiques, and postmortems.
  • Work with clients, third-party contractors, suppliers

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a graphic designer or artist position
  • A thorough understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • A formal education at an accredited design program, or equivalent training
  • Demonstrate an understanding of design, UI, and typographic principles, such as colour, heirarchy, feedback, clarity, and contrast
  • A commitment to the objectives of the design brief, while demonstrating your own creative problem solving
  • Continuously engaged with new design approaches and technologies, and actively seeking to improve your skillset.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concerns, goals, and viewpoints of other departments and project stakeholders.

Nice to Haves

  • A basic understanding of the game development pipeline
  • An interest in games or interactive experiences of all kinds
  • Demonstrate a variety of visual styles in your work, such as sci-fi, fantasy, horror, historical periods.
  • Designed real world experiences before, such as experiential marketing or wayfinding.
  • Experience with print production, file-prep, and file management. Has used project tracking software such as (Basecamp, Avaza, Asana, Trello)
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Experience in animation for User Interfaces
  • Experience in a game studio environment
  • Experience in design for VR/AR

+ Game Designer

Vancouver, Canada - Full Time - Contract

Immersive Tech is looking for a Game Designer to assist us in the production of new and exciting experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Concepting game designs for escape rooms.
  • Creating, following, updating and managing documentation.
  • Participating in design meetings with appropriate project stakeholders, client, third party contractors and consultants.

Qualifications

  • Formal education in game design process and methodologies, or examples demonstrating understanding of these principles.
  • Examples of creating and managing documentation.
  • Completed a game project within the last 12 months.

Nice to Haves

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a designer position
  • Understanding of construction.
  • Like escape rooms!
  • Designed real world experiences for people before.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Comfortable with taking criticism when reviewing work.
  • Designed for Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality before.

+ Sales Representative

Vancouver, Canada - Full Time - Contract

Immersive Tech is looking for a Sales Representative to assist us in the production of new and exciting experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve your sales targets and develop new business through effective selling of products and services to new and existing customers
  • Prospect for leads and build a pipeline through a variety of techniques including heavy cold-calling
  • Negotiate with customers to secure profitable rates and client satisfaction; collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale (negotiating rates, confirming scope and timelines, etc.)
  • Grow and maintain relationships with current customers to uncover new opportunities
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the industry including trends, new opportunities and best practices
  • Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day for maintaining accuracy in sales and volume

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of professional experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of experience in a high-sales environment
  • Experience presenting information and data in a sales environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in * team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

+ Project Manager

Vancouver, Canada - Full Time - Contract

Immersive Tech is looking for a Project Manager to assist us in the production of new and exciting experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Attending and leading various meetings with appropriate project stakeholders, client, third party contractors and consultants.
  • Managing the client relationship throughout the project, representing us to all parties involved with the end goal of strengthening all working relationships
  • Managing a variety of project details including contract documents, estimates and tenders, subcontracts, material and supply quotations, purchase orders, shop drawings, change management etc.
  • Preparing and monitoring project schedules, updates, job costs, cost projections, and budget revisions throughout projects.
  • Helping with additional tasks—there's always something to do!

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals (Scrum, Lean and Waterfall)
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in Project Management.
  • Some experience with project management software, or ability to learn new software (we use Asana).
  • 1+ Years Work experience in a capacity dealing with external clients or customers.

Nice to Have

  • Previous work experience in a marketing environment
  • Familiarity with game development.
  • Likes escape rooms!
